DR. VIDHYALAKSHMI KANNAN

Dr. Kannan is a fellowship-trained physician, specializing in Endocrinology. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, she has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating hormone-related disorders, diabetes and other conditions affecting metabolism.  She completed medical school at the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in India, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Austin. Dr. Kannan also completed a fellowship in endocrinology at the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz.  Dr. Kannan is certified in basic and advanced cardiac life support, and has volunteered for several medical missions, including the Ramakrishna Mission in rural areas of India and the tsunami relief camp in Chennai, India. She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), American Thyroid Association (ATA) and Endocrine Society.
